General cargo vessels require strong coordination between deck and engine departments because cargo operations often involve different loading and unloading systems. Crew members are expected to maintain high safety standards, follow operational procedures, and support efficient vessel activities throughout the contract period.
Working onboard cargo vessels provides valuable practical experience for seafarers who want to develop their maritime careers. Crew members may experience different weather conditions, international ports, and cargo handling operations that help improve technical and operational knowledge.
The company is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Applicants with previous experience onboard cargo vessels or similar commercial ships are encouraged to apply.
The Ordinary Seaman supports daily deck operations under the supervision of officers and senior deck crew. Main duties include deck cleaning, assisting during mooring operations, handling ropes and equipment, helping with cargo activities, and participating in maintenance work onboard.
Candidates should be physically fit, disciplined, and willing to learn operational procedures onboard commercial vessels. Good teamwork and safety awareness are important for this position.
The Wiper assists the engine department in maintaining machinery spaces and supporting engine room operations. Responsibilities include cleaning engine areas, helping engineers during maintenance tasks, organizing tools, and assisting with machinery inspections under supervision.
This role is suitable for candidates interested in developing technical experience in the engine department. Applicants should be hardworking, responsible, and able to work in demanding engine room conditions.
The Messman assists the galley department in maintaining cleanliness and supporting meal service onboard. Duties include preparing dining areas, cleaning accommodation spaces, washing kitchen equipment, assisting the cook, and maintaining hygienic conditions throughout the vessel.
Candidates with good personal discipline and hospitality experience may have an advantage for this position.
The Oiler works closely with marine engineers to support engine room maintenance and machinery operations. Responsibilities include lubricating moving equipment, monitoring machinery conditions, assisting during repairs, and maintaining engine room cleanliness and safety.
Applicants should possess basic engine room knowledge and valid maritime engine department certifications according to international regulations.
