The Assistant Executive Housekeeper coordinates, schedules,and supervises the day-to-day housekeeping activities in staterooms, public areas, and open decks, working in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper to direct, coach, support, supervise, and evaluate the performance of direct reports. He/she reviews guest requirements, guest comments, and other related details; visits staterooms to ensure guest satisfaction; creates and submits requisitions for supplies and equipment; as well as conducts workstation spot checks to ensure proper storage of items. Candidates must have housekeeping supervisory experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line; knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques, and use of equipment; and completion of basic education or its equivalent.
