Job description Technical or university education in a related fieldValid Unlimited Third Officer LicenseKnowledge of technical calculations required for the safe operation of the vesselResponsibilities:Support the safe navigation of the vessel in accordance with company policies, regulations, and maritime best practicesBecome familiar with bridge equipment and navigation systemsAssist in voyage planning and vessel movementsParticipate in anchoring operationsVerify the proper functioning of navigation equipment in compliance with applicable regulations (SOLAS, Class, and Flag State requirements)Assist in the maintenance of deck equipment, firefighting equipment, and lifesaving appliancesContribute to maintaining the vessel in safe operating conditionSupport watertight integrity, cargo handling, and operations involving supply vessels and helicoptersParticipate in inspections, audits, and certification processesAssist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulationsMaintain proper vessel stability, draft, and trimSupport the operation of subsea equipment when applicableUse Dynamic Positioning (DP) simulators for training purposes when availableReport equipment failures or anomalies to the supervisor or MasterAssist with preventive maintenance of marine department equipmentKnowledge of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systemsComply with the company’s safety policies and procedures
