We are seeking an experienced Senior Project/Facility Engineer.The role will be part of the decommissioning project team and will have a key contribution to the technical development, regulatory planning, and Decision Gate (DG) process for the projects.
Job description Key responsibilitiesDevelopment and evaluation of decommissioning concepts and disposal solutionsPreparation and coordination of Conceptual BAT assessmentsSupport preparation of Impact Assessment (KU) documentation and follow-up of external consultants.Preparation and development of Disposal Plans and Decommissioning/Abandonment PlansPreparation of Scopes of Work (SOW) and technical follow-up of engineering and specialist studiesPreparation of technical documentation supporting the Decision Gate (DG) processPreparation of technical documentation for ITT processes and contract annexesTechnical evaluation of contractor proposals and study deliverablesCoordination with relevant engineering disciplines and project functionsParticipation in meetings and technical dialogue with Norwegian and UK authorities, as applicableEnsure that relevant regulatory requirements, company requirements, and industry practices are incorporated into the decommissioning solutionsQualifications and experienceWe are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and relevant experience from offshore oil and gas projects. Experience from decommissioning and late-life projects will be highly advantageous.Engineering degree or equivalent relevant technical educationSignificant experience from offshore oil and gas projectsExperience with subsea and/or offshore decommissioningGood understanding of decommissioning concepts, disposal alternatives and applicable regulatory requirementsExperience with both Norwegian and UKCS decommissioning regulatory processes is highly desirableExperience with technical studies, SOW development, tendering and contractor follow-upExperience with preparation and/or review of regulatory documentation and authority interfacesExperience supporting project Decision Gate (DG) processesAbility to work independently and take ownership of assigned activities while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary project teamStrong written and verbal communication skills in English; Norwegian is an advantage Position detailsLocation: StavangerStart date: As soon as possibleDuration: 12 months with potential for extensionWorkload: 40% as basis but with potential for increase.
