Job description Atlas Nextwave are currently recruiting an experienced 3rd Engineer to join our client’s Seismic Vessel operating in the UK.This is a 6-week assignment commencing 12th August.Please note: As the vessel will be operating within 12 nautical miles (NM) of the UK, successful candidates must either be a UK national or hold a valid Frontier Worker Permit.Essential RequirementsCandidates must hold:Officer of the Watch (OOW) Engine Certificate of CompetencyValid STCW Basic Safety TrainingSTCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB) (other than Fast Rescue Boats)Valid Seafarer’s MedicalAdvanced Fire FightingSTCW Designated Security DutiesThe RoleAs 3rd Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe operation, maintenance and repair of the vessel’s machinery and engineering systems. Working as part of the Engine Room team, you will carry out planned maintenance, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot faults and ensure all engineering activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and relevant maritime regulations.Previous experience onboard seismic or offshore vessels is preferred.If you meet the above requirements and are available to mobilise on 12th August, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today by sending your CV and certification.
