Job description Atlas NextWave are currently recruiting an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our client’s Seismic Vessel operating in UK waters.This is a 6-week assignment commencing 12th August.Please note: As the vessel will be operating within 12 nautical miles (NM) of the UK, successful candidates must either be a UK national or hold a valid Frontier Worker Permit.The RoleAs a Fitter/Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair and fabrication work onboard the vessel, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures. You will support the Engine Room and Deck Departments with planned and corrective maintenance, welding and fabrication tasks, and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of the vessel.Essential RequirementsCandidates must hold:STCW Basic Safety TrainingSTCW Security Awareness (for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties)Valid STCW Seafarer’s MedicalWelding Certificate STCW Certificate of Competency – Able Seafarer Engine (III/5) preferrable but not essential HUETRight to Work in the UK (UK National or valid Frontier Worker Permit)Previous offshore experience in a Fitter/Welder role is highly desirable.If you meet the above requirements and are available to mobilise on 12th August, we’d love to hear from you.
