As a deck cadet, you are a trainee navigation officer who participates in our structured program of academic study and practical sea experience to become a qualified Deck Officer, responsible for ship navigation, safety, and operations. Key duties will include watchkeeping, assisting with navigation, maintaining deck equipment, performing physical tasks like chipping and painting, and managing cargo and safety procedures under the direction of senior officers. This role provides essential hands-on experience to develop the skills needed for future leadership roles, such as Chief Officer or Master
